Why did we choose to develop this project, we had some prior experience in the fashion industry due to a previous endeavor “AlessiaVera” but this time our focus was to establish something that deviated from the typical t-shirt with logo selling business.
Driving values
Uniqueness is the defining value of this company not
because it on itself is different but because it gives the tools necessary for the customer to be unique – self-expression.
Just4u is a rebel against the standardization of fashion is an outcry for individualization.
The problem
Now a days the fashion production as shifted completely to the hands of larger companies leaving no room for individuals to produce their iterations of clothing and that was the problem we tried to fix.
Our solution
Just4U sold Art supplies combo boxes for the user to modify pieces of clothing, this included everything from the actual fabric or piece of clothing all the way to the brushes. Every package would be tailored to the individual wants and needs.
Website
A website is the backbone of any online business so of course we had one, but we made it a bit different that usual. It was split in two parts: the fast-loading page and the e-commerce platform.
“Why split?” you ask studies show that the regular online user was very little patience to wait around for a website to load so this was a clever way to work around large periods of loading. The client lands on the fast-loading page and then if it is really interested it will redirected to the e-commerce platform.
Fast loading page
This a simple html page, the single purpose of it was to grab the attention of the user so afterwards we could redirect him to the e-commerce platform.
E-commerce website
Once the user gets to the second page he already shown interest might as well try to grab is email for future use in email marketing strategies.
Marketing efforts
We divided our marketing efforts in three mediums
Social - influecial
Out of social two things were wanted:
First if a customer customized a piece of clothing using our kit he would post is piece that way we can start to build social proof.
Second as a lead generation the idea is to associate the brand to unique people that live eccentric lives.
As you saw we intended on collecting emails once the user got to the e-commerce platform, the type of content sent on these emails would be tutorials about customization, special deals and celebratory emails – birthday or holidays.
Offline
In the traditional side of strategy, we wanted to make something not as obvious and that would quickly be recognized as publicity with that, we choose to edit popular pieces of art and add them a quote about individualization, something to get people intrigued.
